York Bus Forum Gets a Welcome Boost

First Bus – Cllr Andy D’Agorne and
Chair of York bus forum Doreen Magill

York Bus Forum, a recognised and established group bringing together and representing bus users in York, is getting a welcome publicity boost with new posters being displayed in Frist Bus vehicles to promote the forum and encourage more bus users to join it.

The York Bus Forum was set up in 2016; at the time a number of groups were keen to highlight the need for bus services and the quality of bus services and for involving bus users in the debate about bus services in the future.

It was an initiative supported by York Green Party; the launch of this new poster campaign is therefore something that Green Party Councillor and Executive Member for Transport  Andy D’Agorne welcomes and encourages.

He helped to launch the new poster campaign on the hottest day ever recorded in York; a heatwave wasn’t going to deter him from being out there and promoting public transport and public involvement in transport strategy. Public transport and increased use of public transport to replace cars and car journeys is all about reducing emissions and mitigating the climate crisis.
