Candidate for Micklegate Ward
Alan is 34, lives on Skeldergate and is standing as a candidate for Micklegate ward. He is:
- A school governor for Millthorpe School
- An officer for York Credit Union
- Chair of York Action For Animals
- Chair of York Green Party
- Member of the Castle Area Campaign
He works in the Health Sector and in his spare time enjoys learning languages, keeping fit and eating!
He has campaigned to make sure that the redevelopment of the Odeon, Bonding Warehouse and Terry's sites reflect the needs of the Micklegate ward residents. He has also taken action to improve recycling facilities, road safety, tackle graffiti and to ensure that street lighting is repaired.
He says:
"I am standing for York Green Party because I believe in Keeping York Special. York Green Party has the policies to achieve this goal and if elected, I would be proud to represent the interests of the residents of Micklegate ward."
