Candidate for Micklegate Ward

Charles Everett is 54 and has lived in York since 1991. He is the part-time parent of a seven year old son.

He is a member of York Action For Animals, York Alpine Club and Amnesty International.

His particular areas of interest are:
  • The Environmental benefits to be gained from a dramatic reduction in meat production.
  • Providing incentives to dramatically increase the insulation levels in households.
  • National equality for fathering issues.
  • Working towards a nuclear-free UK and a gradual reduction in defence spending.

In his spare time he enjoys walking in the hills with his son. He is a collector of Scottish Munros (mountains over 3000ft) plus another list of UK wide hills called the Marilyns (which means some of the Scottish ones are Marilyn Munros!). He also enjoys sculpture, creative writing and cruelty-free cookery.

He says; "I'd be proud to represent the interests of the residents of Micklegate ward and work with York Green Party policies to achieve the goal of "Keeping York Special" if elected".
