David Williams
Candidate for Osbaldwick Ward
David has recently turned 60, and has retired after working as a Senior Project Manager for a major company in Leeds. He has lived in York for more than 30 years, the last 25 of which have been spent in Bishophill.David is active in York Credit Union, and as well as being a member of Amnesty International and Greenpeace, he is a keen supporter of CAMRA - the campaign for real ale.
David says, "York is a great place to live because of its human scale and size. Whilst the City Walls have placed sensible restrictions on growth in the centre, I think it is very important to manage growth and maintain a sense of community through all the City's neighbourhoods, not just the medieval core."
