John Cossham

Candidate for Hull Road Ward

John Cossham lives in Hull Road ward and is one of the Green Party Candidates in the City Council elections. He is married with two children, works as an entertainer and lives a low-impact lifestyle.

He has a long track record of involvement in community affairs, including starting York Credit Union and York Rotters. He volunteers with several other community groups and attends Ward Committee meetings and the Ward Research and Advice Group.

He is approachable and always has time to listen and hear peoples' views. He is passionate about improving peoples' quality of life, locally and globally, now and for the future.

If elected he would work hard to promote policies which safeguard our environment, such as increased recycling provision, better public transport and improved cycling facilities. He will press for the introduction of 'Education for Sustainable Development' in all York schools, a central government policy which York hasn't yet implemented.

John would be proud to represent Hull Road ward as a City of York Councillor and would work to keep York special.
