Mark Havercroft

Mark HavercroftMark is a fifty-one-year-old self employed builder, married with two school age children. He has lived in York for twenty five years, loves the city and has been working to give something back via volunteer work as a school governor, a snow warden and a Friend of New Walk.

Mark was involved in the successful campaign for 20mph outside Fishergate School and more recently in the campaign to keep the riverbank near Millennium Bridge free for public use.

He stood as a candidate in Micklegate in the 2015 local elections, receiving an encouraging 1,526 votes, coming fifth out of fourteen candidates for the three councillor  positions
