Can you volunteer to help those in most need?

City of York Council is working closely with the NHS and partners to respond to Covid-19 and to ensure our services will continue to be delivered, with priority given to frontline services.

To provide support to the most vulnerable in the city, we have introduced a new volunteering scheme.

We’re asking kind-hearted residents to help us at this difficult time. We’re working with established voluntary groups to recruit, train and deploy volunteers in a safe and coordinated way.

If you are not already helping someone in need, please sign up:

  • Online: www.york.gov.uk/COVIDVolunteering
  • Email: volunteering@york.gov.uk
  • Phone: 01904 551550

We will ask for details of your skills and availability, then match you to a voluntary group which needs you. Or, we may train you ourselves and ask you to carry out tasks.

Thank you for helping your city – we are all working together to beat COVID-19!
