Earth Day is important because it helps children and also Adults learn about our Earth and how to look after it.
It also teaches how important it is to do our best to help.
Whole TROPICAL ISLANDS ARE DISAPPEARING UNDER THE SEA BECAUSE OF THE HEATING OF THE SEA AND BECAUSE OF THE HEATING OF THE SEA IT IS RISING AND SWALLOWING WHOLE TROPICAL ISLANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
But we can do our bit.
- RECYCLING things that can be recycled and look at plastic things if they have a 1 or 2 on it then put it in the recycling if it has a 3,4,5,6,7,8,or 9 on it then put it in the bin or REUSE IT you don’t have to put things in the bin like foil, plastic bags, scrap paper.
- Also don’t put food in the bin if it just looks not ok because if you put food in the bin then it will rot and produce methane and QUICKLY destroy the environment and the atmosphere (around the Earth protecting us from the Sun’s heat).
- You can go to a community food shop that rescues food that has nearly been put in the bin.
- REDUCE Don’t use fossil fuels that often because that is also QUICKLY destroying the atmosphere: The head of GreenPeace says fossil fuels need to be eliminated within TEN years.
