Rosie Baker, Office Manager & Volunteer Coordinator

Rosie completed an MSc in Research for Public Policy and Practice from UCL, specialising in autism research, and has worked predominantly as an education and disability practitioner in Manchester, Jersey and currently at Yorkshire universities. Since coming to York in 2015 Rosie has worked for Barnardo’s and in a local research company and is now the voluntary Projects Officer for the York Bus Forum. She was secretary of her home party, Reform Jersey and political assistant to one of their elected members which is where her interest in local party politics and campaigning for a more equal society really began. Now for the Greens, her role involves contributing to policy matters (children’s services, education, housing), she works in the local party office assisting with casework, campaigns, planning events & coordinating volunteers. Rosie's 7-yr old son has long since been recruited as a '60-Second Survey' /leafletting budd! : she works hard to make events, meetings etc. as family-friendly as possible. Rosie won over 1500 votes in the Micklegate by-election last year, coming 2nd at the ballot-box and was recently co-opted to represent Yorkshire & Humber on GPRC.
